VAYR Story: Born in the Queensland Heat
VAYR wasn’t started in a boardroom. It was started at 6:00 AM on a humid Brisbane morning, halfway through a long run.
As a wanna-be athlete, I’ve always been obsessed with the small gains. I was training harder than ever, but I always struggled to keep my heart rate under control during sessions. No matter how much I focused on my stride or my pace, my numbers were spiking.
I started diving into the science of performance breathing. I learned that nasal breathing is the "secret weapon" for regulating the nervous system and keeping your HR stable. I started testing every nasal strip on the market, and the results were an absolute game-changer. My recovery was better, my focus was sharper, and my HR stayed right where it needed to be.
The Problem
But there was a catch.
If you’ve ever trained through a Queensland summer, you know the struggle. Between the 90% humidity and the relentless sun, "heavy sweating" is an understatement. Every strip I tried from the big drugstore brands to the high-end sport versions would start peeling within 20 minutes. I’d be in the middle of a set, and I’d feel the adhesive give way.
I was tired of losing my "extra gear" halfway through a workout just because my gear couldn't handle the heat.
The Solution: VAYR
I realised that if I wanted a strip that could survive an Australian summer and a professional training load, I had to build it myself.
VAYR was developed with two non-negotiables:
- Maximum Airflow: A tension band strong enough to physically pull the nasal valves open, even during deep and gasping breaths.
- The "Sweat-Resistant" Grip: A medical-grade adhesive specifically engineered to bond to active skin in high-humidity environments.
Whether you're hitting a PB on the track, grinding through a long ride, or just trying to get a better night's sleep, VAYR is built to stay on until the job is done.
Stop fighting for air. Start breathing properly.
